A note from the founders

We're rewiring how ambition meets opportunity.

Hi. We're three university students who built the tool we wish existed.

We spent too many nights sending applications into the void — watching friends with real talent get skipped over for people with the right last names, schools, or just the right luck. We got tired of complaining about it without doing something.

So we built SkillNode. The platform we needed when we hit send on application #87.

What broke us

Every student we knew
was hitting the same walls.

01

Sent 80+ applications.

Heard back from four. Two were automated rejections.

02

Watched classmates with thinner resumes land offers.

Not because they were better — because they knew someone.

03

Spent Sundays reformatting for ATS robots.

That would reject us anyway for not having the right keywords.

04

Knew we could do the work.

Had no way to prove it before the interview we never got.

How it started

Three moments.
Then a product.

Summer 2025

We saw the problem firsthand

University students were struggling — buried under unverified job postings, unsure how to stand out, and losing ground in a hiring process that wasn't built for them. The gap between talent and opportunity was real, and growing.

Winter 2025

We decided to build the solution

Instead of waiting for the system to fix itself, we started building Skill Node — a platform designed from the ground up to connect students with credible opportunities and give them a real way to prove their value.

What's broken with applying:

  • ATS keyword bingo
  • Ghost interviews
  • Resume black holes
  • “Who you know”
  • ...19 more

Early 2026

We discovered it actually works

What we built didn't just solve the problem—it reframed it entirely. Skill Node is changing how students get hired, and we're just getting started.

The three of us

Meet us.

Three students, still in school, still hitting send on applications. Still building.

What we believe

Three things we hold to,
even when it's hard.

Merit shouldn’t need a last name.

What you can do matters more than who you know. We build every feature with that in mind.

Real skills beat polished resumes.

A PDF is a marketing asset. We care about what’s underneath — and we built the tools to surface it.

Students deserve better than waiting.

The job search shouldn’t feel like shouting into a void. We ship fast because people are out here refreshing their inbox.

P.S. — one more thing

If any of that sounded familiar, we built this for you.

SkillNode is free while we're in beta. Take two minutes, build your node, and let the work speak for itself.

If it's broken, tell us. If it works, tell a friend. We're still in school — we read every email.
